The event of Jesus carrying the cross to his crucifixion is commonly referred to as the Way to Calvary. The term Via Dolorosa, is Latin for "Sorrowful Way" or "Way of Suffering". Representing the pain and suffering Jesus bore on his way to his crucifixion to give life to everyone who comes to believe in him.
